Vrouyr Joubanian is a human-centered designer and design researcher. He is currently the Head of Experimentation at the UNDP Lebanon's Accelerator Lab. Vrouyr works closely with stakeholders to develop and experiment with new products and processes that are context specific and socially conscious. As Head of Experimentation, he strives to minimize risk, time, and investment while maximizing learning. Fluent in four languages, he is committed to communicating with users, understanding behaviors, and moving between different social and cultural contexts. He has lectured and given workshops on topics such as design thinking, design research, prototyping, social innovation, and design education in the United States, Hong Kong, Armenia, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Jordan, and Lebanon. He is a former Fulbright Scholar and received his Master of Industrial Design from the University of the Arts in Philadelphia. He also holds an MA in Product Design from Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts in Lebanon. Prior to joining the UNDP Accelerator Lab in Lebanon, Vrouyr coordinated the graduate program in Global Design at Académie Libanaise des Beaux-Arts.
